Security Service of RF Transport Ministry designated as sole executor of transport security functions at Kerch Strait bridge

FSUE Security Service of RF Transport Ministry is designated by RF Government as the sole executor of transport security functions at the bridge across the Kerch Strait, at highway approaches from both sides of the Strait and at railway approaches from the side of Crimea, says press center of the Ministry of Transport.

Transport security implies a full range of services foreseen by the federal legislation in this sphere. Among them are the barrier system, the systems of screening, TV surveillance, video recording, public address and general alarm, fire alarm, evacuation management, protection of adjacent water area. Points of security system management are to be established in the area.

FSUE Security Service of RF Transport Ministry was established in 2002 for protection of state-owned facilities and other facilities under the jurisdiction of RF Transport Ministry. Its nine branches secure protection of over 800 facilities of Russia’s transport system from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.
