In January-March 2017, the port of Primorsk handled 16,456,900 t of cargo (+6%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, crude oil transshipment climbed by 9% to 12,592,700 t.
Transshipment of oil products declined by 1%, year-on-year, to 3,864,200 t.
Port Primorsk is Russia’s largest oil port in the Baltic Sea. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS). In 2016, the port’s throughput grew by 8%, year-on-year, to 64.42 mln t.
