FESCO starts regular rail transportation of export cargo to the ports of St. Petersburg
FESCO Transportation Group (FESCO) has announced launching of a delivering service for export cargo in the Russian Northwest. Regular container trains will transport manufactured products to the ports of St. Petersburg.
FESCO will create rhythmic transportation schemes for each exporting company individually. This technology allows clients to exclude downtime and to ensure regular shipments, significantly reducing cost and transit time. The transportation will be based on FESCO's own and partner’s assets. FESCO’s high-level expertise in line shipments through the Far-Eastern ports will facilitate in this service delivering.
The development of regular rail transportation to the ports of St. Petersburg for export cargo is one of FESCO’s strategic priorities. The company intends to expand its presence in the region due to direct cooperation with export producers.
The first export container train delivered 77 40’ containers to Marine Fish Port LLC, one of the terminal in St. Petersburg, and then containers will be delivered in China by FESCO’s sea line FOML.
