Spasatel Kavdeykin carries out rescue duty in Vanino port
According to Morspasluzhba of Rosmorrechflot, a multipurpose salvage vessel (MPSV) of the MPSV07 project "Spasatel Kavdeykin" of the Sakhalin Branch of the Morspasluzhba Rosmorrechflot, FBI, in accordance with the Rosmorrechflot approved schedule for emergency rescue preparedness by the duty forces and means and the Settlement Plan icebreakers for the period of icebreaking warships in 2017-2018 in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation, from November 21, 2017 to the present, carries out emergency rescue readiness on approaches and in the water area of the Vanino seaport, in the Tatar Strait of the Search and Rescue Area of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk MRSC.
During the period of emergency rescue readiness, the vessel, in connection with incoming applications from ship owners, carried out 5 ice postings in the seaports of Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan for the needs of OJSC “Amur Shipping Company”, LLC ”Daltranservis”, “Vanino Free Port”, LLC.
The complexity of the work was due to heavy ice conditions, the thickness of the ice reached 1 meter.
All ice postings were successful. Captain of the MPSV "Spasatel Kavdeykin" Nimenkiy V. and the crew members are thanked by the ship owners for the faultless performance of the work.
"Spasatel Kavdeykin" is a unique multifunctional salvage vessel by it equipment and available technology, built in 2013 by the Nevsky Shipyard, commissioned by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation for Morspasluzhba of Rosmorrechflot. In total, the Nevsky Shipyard built four ships of the MPSV07 project. The designer is Marine Engineering Bureau.
