Throughput of port Kaliningrad in 5M’18 up 12% Y-o-Y to 6.05 million tonnes
In January-May 2018, the port of Kaliningrad handled 6,050,900 tonnes of cargo, up 12%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo dropped by 12% to 972,100 tonnes including 444,700 tonnes of coal (+72%) and 4,400 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+57%) and 517,300 tonnes of other cargoes (-39%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo grew by 24% to 1,848,200 tonnes, general cargo – by 15% to 605,700 tonnes.
The port also handled 554,500 tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (-12%) and 1.59 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+32%) including 1,042,900 tonnes of oil products (+62%), 240,600 tonnes of crude oil (-13%) and 289,200 tonnes of food cargo (+9%).
The port’s container throughput grew by 5.5%, year-on-year, to 98,377 TEUs.
