Busan Port Authority(BPA, President Nam Ki-chan) inked the Letter Of Intent(LOI) with Port of Rotterdam(POR) to construct ‘q-joint Logistics Center’ at the distripark in Maasvlakte, Rotterdam.
The LOI includes the following options: POR will support the administrative procedures required for the site q-and construction of the logistics center. BPA will build the center by drawing up business plans, facility designs, q-and business models
BPA has sought for the opportunities that can penetrate the logistics maeket in Netherlq-ands through securing the lq-and q-and planning for the operation of logistics center. With this LOI, BPA will start the construction of the logistics center(50,000㎡ of lq-and, 34,000㎡ of building size) q-from next year q-and begin commercial operations in June 2021.
BPA President Nam stated “Considering the fact that Korean SMEs are lack of their own logistics warehouse in overseas, we will endeavor to create new cargo volume at Busan Port by strengthening the overseas logistics network q-and to enhance the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing companies by constructing public infrastructure-type logistics centers.”
