Border Service temporarily allows stopovers at anchorage locations No. 10 / No. 12 in the Gulf of Finland prior to border crossing procedure
Anchoring of vessels at the locations No 10 and No 12 in the Gulf of Finland before the state border control procedure is temporarily allowed, while anchoring at the anchorage location No 10a is still prohibited. This is a decision taken by the Russian FSB’s Border Service in coordination with the port authorities of the seaports of the Gulf of Finland, a source familiar with the matter told PortNews IAA.
The source says that stopovers at anchorage locations No 10 and No 12 will be allowed only after obtaining permission, upon submission of all details about the vessel, her route and crew to the Border Service.
The border control service is now considering the permittion to vessels to anchor at location No. 11a prior to required control procedure.
