Poland's first training centre for port staff opened at the Port of Gdansk

A ceremonial opening of Poland's first training centre for port staff, using simulation techniques in virtual and augmented reality, was held at the Port of Gdansk. According to the port’s press release, it is an innovative project initiated by Centrum Nowych Kompetencji (new competence centre) as part of the Maritime Incubator. Thanks to a simulator - unique on a global scale - future employees of the port will acquire skills necessary in order to operate cranes. The first courses are to start as soon as November.
