On November 26, the 6th meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the company said in its release. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Han Zheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier and Chinese Chairman of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee and Mr. Anton Siluanov, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister and Russian Chairman of the Committee. The two sides reviewed the progress of their investment cooperation and construction of key projects, and agreed to enhance the synergy of their development strategies and promote investment cooperation for new achievements.
Capt. Xu Lirong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING, attended the meeting and delivered a speech on behalf of Chinese companies. Capt. Xu said COSCO SHIPPING is ready to advance cooperation with PAO NOVATEK, PAO Sovcomflot and Silk Road Fund on the Arctic LNG 2 project based on the successful Yamal LNG project to make greater contributions to China-Russia economic, trade and investment cooperation.
Executives from COSCO SHIPPING Energy were also present at the meeting.
