Cargo turnover of Northern Railway up 1.1%, in February 07, y-o-y

In February 2007, total loading of Northern Railway amounted to 5.8 million tons (100.3% of the plan), NRW PR service reports. NRW cargo turnover totaled 11 236 million of operational tons per kilometer in February 07 (+1.1%, year-on-year). Loading of oil products totaled 1 583 thou tons (+10.9% against plan). February loading of coal totaled 812 thou tons (+7%, year-on-year), ferrous metal - 850 thou tons (+14.6%, year-on-year), chemical fertilizers - 258 thou tons (+27/1%, year-on-year and 4.9% against plan), chemicals - 83 thou tons (+25.8 year-on-year and +18.6% against plan). Besides, NRW loaded almost 1 million tons of timber, 453 thou tons of construction materials, 135 thou tons of paper, 74 thou tons of metal scrap. In February, average daily loading was 3682 wagons, unloading - 3180 wagons.
