Russia has offered the Port of Singapore to become the engineering management company of the Vostochny port in Russia's Vladivostok, Economy Minister German Gref told journalists today.
He stressed that the Port of Singapore was handling cargo with the use of high technology and advanced logistics solutions. The port handles more freight than all Russian ports combined, Gref underlined.
In addition to this, United Arab Emirates have also shown interest in participating in the creation of port zones in Russia. Gref expressed hope that foreign companies would on a par with Russian operators take an active part in the establishment of special economic port zones in Russia.
