V.Commercial, a business unit of V.Group, the world’s largest supplier of marine support services and leading ship broker Norstar have launched V.Star Shanghai, a 50/50 joint venture.
V.Star Shanghai is focusing primarily on the brokerage and placement of newbuild orders at Chinese shipyards. It will also add value to its services by cooperating closely with SeaTec, a V.Ships company already well-established as a consultant to Chinese shipyards. SeaTec offers support ranging from on-site supervision to design and general consultation.

Through its three business units, V.Ships, V.Investments and V.People, V.Group provides ship management and related technical services to over 900 vessels, offers financial and commercial services including ship finance and broking and specialises in personnel recruitment, management and training. Its employs 1,600 office staff in 70 offices worldwide and 25,000 offshore contract personnel.
With offices in Europe and Asia, Norstar Shipping specialises in ship broking of all types of commercial vessels including newbuilding contracts, sale and purchase of existing vessels and long-term period chartering.
