NOL YTD revenue per FEU falls 6pc
Singaporean transportation company NOL says that its liner division APL handled 166,800 FEU during the four weeks from August 26 to September 22, an increase of six per cent over the same period last year. During this timeframe, average revenue per FEU declined 10 per cent to US$2,658 per FEU, down from $2,939 per FEU for the corresponding period a year ago. Year-to-date (YTD) average revenue per FEU declined six per cent year on year to $2,651 per FEU. However, year-to-date container volumes were up seven per cent compared to the same period in 2005 to 1,516,700 FEU. With regard to the company's logistics business unit, total revenue during the four-week reporting period grew by six per cent over 2005 to $114.70 million, which raised year-to-date revenue to $948.90 million, a four per cent increase over the corresponding period last year. Within the logistics segment, revenue from contract logistics services rose by six per cent during the four-week period to $71.90 million, while revenue from international services increased by eight per cent year on year to $42.80 million, a company statement said.
