Loading of Northern Railway up 0.7% in 10M06

In the 10-month period of the current year Northern Railway loaded about 64.4 million tons of cargo (+0.9% against plan and +0.7% against year-on-year result), PR department of NRW reports. Cargo turnover of the railway totaled 122.778 billion operational t-km (+2.3%, year-on-year). Loading of oil products (NRW’s major type of cargo) totaled 15.820 million tons (101.2% of the plan), construction materials – 9.446 million tons (101.6%), timber – 9.921 million tons (97.6%), coal – 8.903 million tons (101.3%), ferrous metals – 7.231 million tons (104% ), chemical fertilizers – 2.490 million tons (102.1%), paper - 1.459 million tons, metal scrap - 1.240 thou tons, chemicals - 836 thou tons, cement - 757 thou tons.

Total loading of Yaroslavl branch of NRW amounted over the reported period to 14.966 million tons (+1.8% against year-on-year result). The plan is implemented by 101.4%. Cargo turnover Yaroslavl branch totaled 19.641 billion operational t-km (+1%, year-on-year). Main cargoes of the branch are oil products. The branch loaded 9.167 million tons of oil products in January-October, thus implementing the plan by 100.1%. In the 10-month period it loaded 3.529 million tons of construction materials (+15.7% year-on-year), 324 thou tons of timber (+8.7% against plan and +10.6% against year-on-year result). Loading of metal scrap totaled 486 thou tons (+9% against plan and +4.5% year-on-year). Loading of chemical cargo grew by 29.6% to 293 thou tons. The branch also loaded 86 thou tons of ferrous metal, 10 thou tons of paper and 1 thou tons of coal.
