Cargo turnover of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport (Ukraine) up 2% in 10M06

Cargo turnover of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport (ICS) grew by 2%, year-on-year, in January-October 2006 amounting to 12.513 million tons, ICS’s press center reports according to IA REGNUM. The figure includes 1.227 million tons of liquid bulk cargo, 1.744 million tons of containerized cargo, 4.710 million tons of dry bulk cargo and 6.576 million tons of general cargo. In the 10-month period of 2006 the port handled 15,783 railway wagons and 2,188 vessels.

Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport (Ukraine, Odessa region) has been operating from 1958. The port’s territory is 346 hectares, berth length is 5.4 km. Area of covered storage space is 54.2 thou m2, open storage space – 743.94 thou m2. The port accepts vessels with up to 13 m of draft. No limits as regards length of the vessels. Average depth near the port is 13.5 m, which enable it to serve the vessels of almost any deadweight.
