Cargo turnover of Ventspils port down 2.5% in 10M06

Cargo turnover of Ventspils port totaled 24.248 million tons (-630 thou tons or –2.5% against year-on-year result), RZD-Partner reports. However, it exceeds planned cargo turnover by 78 thou tons (0.3%). Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 15.204 million tons (-1% year-on-year); dry bulk cargo – 6.956 million tons (-20.9%); general cargo – 2.088 million tons (1.9 times as high as year-on-year result).  Planned cargo turnover of Ventspils port is 29 million tons for 2006.
