The Mirzaga Khalilov dry cargo vessel built at Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard and fitted by Transas company was delivered to the customer – Palmali Shipping (Turkish shipping company) on November 9, Transas’ press release reports. The fitting included GMDSS set, navigation equipment including Electronic Cartographic Navigation Information System manufactured by Transas, internal communication system, satellite communication system, pilot control consoles. The contract for fitting of the vessel was signed in December 2005. In July 2006 the fitting was completed followed by launching.
The dry-cargo ship project RSD17 fitted by Trnsas is intended for transportation of all types of general and dry bulk cargoes, metal, grain, timber, coal, bulky and heavy-lift cargoes. The vessel meets the requirements of ECO - ecological standards of the Russian Marine Register of Shipment (analogue of DNV class «Clean Sea»). According to Yury Isupov, technical development and shipbuilding deputy to Palmali president, this bulk-carrier is the first vessel built in Russia to meet ecological standards exceeding all international norms. The contract with Krasnoye Sormovo implies fitting of four more vessels of this project by Transas. Earlier (in 2004 – 2006) Transas fitted seven large dry cargo river-and-sea going vessels project 006RSD05 of Palmali built at Volgograd and Krasnoye Sormovo shipyards of MNP group.
