No oil spills detected in Kerch Strait, emergencies ministry says
Checks conducted in the Kerch Strait and the coastline have found no oil spills in the sea. The conclusion was made by a working group of representatives of the Environment Ministry, the Emergencies Ministry and other interested departments who thoroughly inspected the sea waters near the city of Kerch, the Kerch Strait and Tuzla Spit Island with the help of aircraft and maritime transport on July 1-2, the press service of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's main office in Crimea reported on Thursday.
Divers of the Kerch maritime coordination rescue center and a special sea detachment of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry also inspected the coastline and the sea surface in the vicinity of the village of Heroyivske, the Kerch city beach and the queue and Tuzla Spit Island.
