Fredriksen ups stake to 15pc of TUI, ahead of Hapag-Lloyd sale
Tanker owner John Fredriksen, who holds a major stake in Hapag-Lloyd parent, Germany's TUI AG, revealed his increase of company's voting stock to 15 per cent.
Mr Fredriksen, CEO of Frontline, failed to secure two seats on the TUI board earlier this year, having been highly critical of the management of TUI under chairman Juergen Krumnow, reported American Shipper.
TUI has since divulged plans to sell or spin-off Hapag-Lloyd, the world's fifth-largest container shipping line.
