Estonian roads will get additional EEK 5 billion
The Estonian government approved today the changes in the investment plan meant to develop the infrastructure of transport, which means that transport objects will receive an additional EEK 5.45 billion investment.
According to the plan for the years 2009-2013 Väo-Maardu road at Tallinn-Narva highway, Väo-Saue road at Tallinn’s roundabout, Pärnu bypass, Jõhvi crossing, and Valgejõe-Rõmeda road, including Viitna bypass, at Tallinn-Narva highway will be constructed, Baltic Business News reports according to RZD-Partner .
In addition, a new hydrographic survey vessel will be bought to increase the safety of navigation on water roads.
Additional investments will be made for EEK 5.45 billion, out of which European Union Cohesion Fund will put out EEK 4.14 billion and European Regional Development Fund EEK
230.1 million.
When the investment plan was approved on the 6th March the road objects were left out of it and appropriate means were left in reserve. Along with additional means to the investment plan, the budget of the 22 projects is EEK 11.9 billion, out of which European Union is putting out EEK 9.7 billion.
