Hamburg Sud to add seven new offices in China
Hamburg Sud has received permission from China's Ministry of Communications to open seven proprietary offices on the mainland, after maintaining just one office in China.
This comes as the German shipping company's China subsidiary, established in 2005 in Shanghai, has been granted permission to open branches in Guangzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Xiamen, reports American Shipper.
The carrier said that owing to its expanded office network, it has added weekly sailings on the trades between China and South America, South Africa, Australasia and the India subcontinent.
