New ship for Pacific Navy is launched
A hydrographic cutter for the Pacific Navy was launched in Blagoveshensk. As the information service of the Pacific Navy reported to RIA PrimaMedia, in two years after laying a new hydrographic ship is practically built and launched. - The launch of the ship was held successfully, experts of the ship-building plant think, but on their opinion there is much work ahead. Assemblage of equipment and repair of premises, and also acceptance of power supply will be fulfilled on water. A new vessel will be used only in peace purposes. Sea hydrographs study bottom relief, register shoals. The vessel still has no name. only in autumn, when the ship will leave for Vladivostok, to customers, instead of abbreviation “BGK” it will get a name. It is planned to hold testing of the cutter, and if everything passes smoothly, to send it for service to the Pacific Navy. In the interests of hydrography of the Pacific Navy the small hydrographic vessel was laid at Vladivostok plant “Vostochnaya verf” in October of 2006 and it was called in honor of the famous hydrograph of the Navy Victor FALEYEV. As the information service noted, in near time the Pacific Navy will increase not only with peace vessels, but also with military ships, which are situated on building berths and in dockyards of the plants of Kaliningrad and Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
