Russkaya Troyka acquires land in Vladivostok port for construction of container terminal

On September 11, Russkaya Troyka JSC has acquired a 3.5-hectare plot of land in the port of Vladivostok for RUR 103 mln. This land is to be used by the company for construction of a container terminal capable of handling 250,000 TEU per year, the press center informs.

The project consists of two phases. The first one implies construction on both the shore and reclaimed land with the berth line of up to 186 meters long, depth of 15 meters and total area of 5.42 hectares. The second phase to be implemented on a reclaimed land is to have a 405-meter berth line, 15-meter depth and 11.35-hectare area.

The project of the terminal was approved by the Board of Directors of Russian Railways OJSC in December 2006 and by the general meeting of Russkaya Troyka shareholders in January 2007.

JSC Russkaya Troyka was established in 2004 by the leading transportation companies in Russia – Russian Railways and Far-Eastern Shipping Company (subsidiary of FESCO Transport Group). The company’s shareholders are – Russian Railways (25%+1 share); NPF Blagosostojanije (25%-1 share); Far-Eastern Shipping Company OJSC (50%). The company’s authorized capital totals RUR 956 mln. Russkaya Troyka commenced operations in March 2005. The company owns a fleet of 1,447 platforms.
