Nevsky shipyard to lay down a salvage vessel for Marine and River Transport Agency

On September 22nd, 2009, a solemn Keel Laying Ceremony will take place at «Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant» («Nevsky Shipyard»). A multipurpose salvage vessel, capacity 4 МW, Design Project MPSV07 will be laid. «Nevsky Shipyard» builds this vessel in accordance with the State Shipbuilding Contract №226-АСС4/32-ГК-09 signed on the 9th of June of this year.


The State Customer of the vessel is Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.


The Customer – The Direction of State Contractor of Marine Transport Development Program.

This vessel is being constructed as a part of realization of the Sub-program  « Marine Transport » - federal target program « Development of transport system of Russia (2010-2015) ». According to the above-mentioned program 4 more vessels of the same type are to be built. As soon as the construction the vessel is completed, the vessel will be delivered to «State Marine Pollution Control and Salvage and Rescue Service of RF» (Gosmorspassluzhba) and will be included into the state rescue fleet capable to perform underwater-technical, diving and rescue works.

The vessel is to be delivered to the Customer in 2010.
