Wuhan to build China's second largest inland port after Nanjing's

Central China's Wuhan government is building an inland port, which is destined to become China's second largest after Nanjing's, reports Xinhua.
The CNY30 billion (US$4.39 billion) plan calls for the new inland to have a five million TEU annual capacity between 2015 and 2020 from an initial two million and eventually rising to 10 million TEU by 2030.
The initial plan calls for 36 port projects and collection and transmission systems with 21 projects already underway and 10 more projects to start in the course of the year, including four port projects and six collection and transmission systems, costing CNY19.7 billion.
