When touring an exhibition in the Russian Black Sea resort devoted to the development of Russia's regions RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin familiarized himself with the plans for construction of a multifunctional off-shore transshipment complex Bronka on the Baltic Sea, Interfax reports. As the project’s executive director Aleksei Shukletsov told Putin, the construction is to commence in 2010. According to him, the new port in the Baltic Sea will cut the deficit of port facilities felt in Russia “even today despite the crisis”.
The port capacity will make 1.9 mln TEU per year. It is supposed to build facilities for transshipment of cargo from motor transport to vessels and back.
