Total gas output in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District in January-August 2009 decreased by 23% year-on-year to 297.6 billion cubic meters, the district's natural resources regulation department told Interfax.
Total oil production in the eight months declined by 10% to 18.204 million tonnes while condensate output remained at last years' level at 6.256 million tonnes.
It was earlier reported that gas output in Yamal-Nenets is forecast at 593.5 bcm in 2009, which is an increase of 3% from last year. Oil production is forecast to decrease by 10% to 26.9 million tonnes while condensate is expected to go up 18% to 11.1 million tonnes. Owing to
changes in the economic situation the forecast will be revised and adjusted at the start of the fourth quarter.
