Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port acquires 9.51% of NCSP Fleet shares for $20.87 mln

Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC has acquired 9.51% of NCSP Fleet shares for $20.87 mln. According to M&A, Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port has increased its share in the company to 95.19%. 

NCSP Fleet OJSC provides tugging and mooring services in the port of Novorossiysk and near it. It also responds to spill of hazardous substances and renders waste utilization services in the port. 

Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NMTP Group, NCSP) is Russia’s largest port operator. It was established in 1992. The Group comprises the following stevedoring companies: Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC, Novorossiysk Grain Terminal OJSC, Novorossiysk Ship Repair Yard OJSC, NCSP Fleet OJSC, Novolesexport OJSC, IPP OJSC and Baltic Stevedore Company LLC. NCSP control stake is held by a group of Russian businessmen with the state owning 20% of the Group. In 2008, the Group’s throughput totaled 81.6 million tonnes, its consolidated revenue calculated according to IFRS amounted to $653.777 mln.
