It was the first time in the history of Klaipeda port that the largest vehicle-carrier Hoegh Delhi called at the port to be loaded with Byelorussian tractors to deliver them to Venezuela. The event took place a week ago, Lithuanian currier reports.
A Norwegian 12-deck vessel, 199.9 m long and 32.26 m wide with 8.81 m gauge is able to receive up to 6,500 cars on board. The port loaded 535 tractors and 22 trucks on deck the vessel. The handling lasted about 24 hours.

This call at the Klaipeda port cost Euro 60 thou to the ship-owner, although the vessel accepted only 10% of the cargo onboard.
