Russian FCS elaborated draft regulation on ‘dry port’

Federal Customs service (FCS) has elaborated a draft regulation on ‘dry port’, reported earlier Larisa Korshunova, Head of the department of Central Administration of customs clearance and customs control of FCS, at a visiting session of Committee for customs regulation of committee for budget and taxes of the State Duma in Rostov-on-Don.

‘There is no such a notion as a ‘dry port’ in the legislation to the date. We have defined it for ourselves as an inland container terminal or a temporal warehouse linked to a seaport by transport infrastructure,’ Interfax sited Korshunova.

As per the FCS representative, the draft regulation provides for the necessary presence of the according program facilities for interaction with the customs bodies available to the marine terminal operators and owners of an inland container terminal.
