New technology boosts cargo handling at St.-Petersburg terminal

A brand new technology of packaging and reloading of the loose cargoes, including grain, fertilizers, building dry mixes and many other things, from railway cars and the automobiles into containers has been introduced at the Joint-Stock Company "Sovmortrans" terminal in St.-Petersburg, the company press service reports. The innovation has boosted cargo handling since the process is completely automated. Besides, the new technology helps to prevent even the slightest losses.

The Joint-Stock Company "Sovmortrans" is created in 1989. It includes three cargo transshipment complexes in St.-Petersburg, Odessa and Ilyichevsk which offer a complete range of services such as transfer, storage and handling different types of cargoes.
