NOL's cargo up 23 pct in 4 weeks to Nov 13

Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines , the world's fifth-biggest container shipping firm, said on Monday it carried 23 percent more containers in the four weeks to Nov 13 versus a year ago.
NOL said in a statement it carried the equivalent of 208,000 40-foot containers (FEU) on its ships, up from 169,700 a year earlier.
The average revenue per FEU was, however, down 28 percent from a year ago at $2,239.
NOL in late October reported a bigger-than-expected third quarter loss and warned that losses will continue at least until the first half of 2010.
