Loading of export cargoes in ports of Russia by rail in January-November, 2009 increased by 5 % in comparison with the same period of the last year and made 241,2 million tons.
According to the Russian Railway press service, over 46,1 million tons (+23 %) have been transshipped to the ports of the Far East. Loading of coal has also increased by 31 % (+6,1 million tons), ferrous metals by 43 % (+2,3 million tons), oil by 19 % (+1,3 million tons), coke up by 2,7 times (+0,4 million tons). In the Far East region a critical situation is reported where a large number of rails loaded with cargo stand idle.
Plans of consignors for December this year prove further growth of loading to the Far East region. As of now daily departure of 3752 cars in direction to the Far East, more than handled in December, last year (by1534 cars a day or by 69 %), by 23 trains.
Growing dynamics of cargo traffics to the Far East demands from all participants of the logistical scheme the cooperation, fulfillment of partner obligations, first of all, schedules of unloading of cars, the Russian Railway press service said.
