State run Ukrainian Railway "Ukrzalyznytsya" shows growth of the railway transit on the territory of Ukraine in September-November, 2009, the company authorities say.
According to the company report, over 4,2 million tons of cargo were transported in November this year. That is 11 % more than that of October. The boost was due to favourable tariffs policy with the basic partners from the CIS countries, the report says. in particular there has been an agreement for 2010 of Ukraninan Railroad with "Russian Railway" to maintain present tariffs for transportation of all transit cargoes in the direction to Ukraine through the territory of Russia.
The State Administration Ukrainian Railway "Ukrzalyznytsya" operating all railway transportation in Ukraine, was created in December, 1991. The UZ manages railway companies of Donetsk, Lvov, Odessa, South and Southwest and Pridneprovsk, as well as other enterprises and the organizations incorporated into industrial-technological complex, providing cargo-and-passenger transportation.
