Oil price down to $72.32 in London and to $70.67 in New York

Light, sweet crude for January delivery settled $1.95, or 2.7%, lower at $70.67 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude on the ICE futures exchange closed $2.80, or 3.7% lower, at $72.39 a barrel.
