Transshipment of mineral oil increased in 1,8 times - to 468,1 thousand tones.
Turnover of containers at the port decreased in 2,6 times - to 145 thousand TEUs.
As of November, 2009 cargo turnover at the port dropped by 16 % compared to the last year - to 1,56 million т. Volume of coal, coke, including batch and anthracite handled at the port fell accordingly 14 % - to 1,28 million tones, mineral fertilizers almost by 50 % - to 47,9 thousand tones.
At the same time transshipment of mineral oil doubled - to 53,2 thousand tones.
Turnover of containers fell reduced in twofold - to 14,484 thousand TEUs.
East port is the largest deep-water sea port in the Russian Far East. It is located on the bank of a nonfreezing bay of Vrangelya of sea of Japan, near Vrangelya village, in the south of Primorski Territory, 30 km to the east from Nakhodka. Annual throughput of port exceeds 18 million tones. There are 19 berths of about 4,7 km with depths from 6,5 to 16,5 m. The port has the largest container terminal, coal terminal. Chemical (mineral fertilizers, methanol), wood cargoes are handled at the port. The capacity of the port allow to handle heavy-tonnage ships deadweight to 150 thousand tones, besides, it has a developed warehouse infrastructure.
