Singapore bunker firm's licence cancelled

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) says it has cancelled the bunkering licences of Faber Marine Pte Ltd with effect from today (9 December). A brief statement says that this follows the conviction of a director of the company for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act, in connection with the delivery of bunkers. MPA points out that all bunker suppliers and bunker craft operators operating in the Port of Singapore are required to be licensed by MPA. It says: “With the cancellation of Faber Marine Pte Ltd's Bunkering Licences, the company is no longer allowed to operate as a bunker supplier and bunker craft operator in the Port of Singapore.” According to the company's website it runs a fleet three bunker barges.
