Latvia offers ports for Armenia’s cargoes to the West

Latvia is considering opening the country’s ports and communication routes for Armenia for the transportation of cargoes to the West. "I see great potential for development of the Armenian-Latvian economic cooperation. I hope that the two governments will create all necessary conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation. Creating the necessary contractual and legal framework will be a major stimulus for the development of this cooperation ", Latvia’s President Valdis Zatlers is quoted as saying at the Armenian-Latvian business forum in Yerevan, Armenian aysor.am website reports.

According Mr. Zatlers, Latvian businessmen can help their Armenian colleagues to sign profitable agreements with Western businessmen.

"It remains only to find the common ground for mutually beneficial cooperation. Latvia is ready to help Armenia to integrate into the European market, as well as to share its experience of European integration ", - Mr. Zatlers said.
