OJSC "Vladivostok Sea Commercial Port" (VSCP) has launched a video surveillance system SecurOs (industrial television), which allows round-the-clock monitoring the loading and unloading the by customs service officers and coordinate production processes by the port authorities. The port territory area over 50 hectares is controlled by 124 fixed and rotary CCTV cameras, the stevedore company press service reports.
For installation of video cameras special structures and lighting masts have been used. Also, the video equipment was installed on certain types of handling equipment. The system is integrated into the internal network of the company, through which all information is received by video control system center, the number of which may be added if necessary. It has taken over 1.5 years to complete the project 1.5 years.
Access to the Industrial television network of VSCP is available only for port authorities, customs officers, security service and the company's clients. The system allows permanent, in real time, monitoring and coordination of the production capacity of the port, processes, cargo handling and movement of rolling stocks on the port territory. Employees of the Vladivostok customs post have the opportunity for 24 hours to monitor the loading and unloading processes without making extra detail of customs officers to check ships.
Run-circuit television in VSCP - is one of the stages for creating a unified information system at Vladivostok hub. This project goal is to unite in a single information space of all participants in the transport chain: railway, freight forwarders, traders, the port and customs service.
