The Turkish ship following from port of Tuapse, sank in the Black sea, there is a human wreck

Turkish ship sank in the Black sea, there were  6 crewmembers onboard, all of them citizents of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Transport and Communication in Ukraine, this incident occured on December, 12 th, 2009 in 02:39 a.m. LT. Cargoship OGANBEY (under the flag of Panama, № 7106932, deadweight of 8150 tons, year of construction - 1970, the ship-owner - DARYA SHIPPING (Turkey) sank at the distance of 180-200 km from Istanbul at Turkish coast of Black sea .

The vessel transshipped coal cargo from port of Tuapse to Turkish port of Canakkale.

According to preliminary data, the ship has turned over in storm conditions because of cargo displacement. There were 16 crewmen on the board of the vessel: eight citizens of Turkey, six citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Georgia.

According to last information of the State Maritime Rescue Coordination centre of the Ministry of Transport and Communication in Ukraine (Odessa), provided by Ankara, at the present moment there are people found and rescued, there are 5 Ukranians among them. One citizen of Ukraine died.

Rescue coordination centre in Ankara is still working on life-saving mission.
