The customs office of Nakhodka began exploring and using the Internet for posting declaration of goods back in 2005, since it was included in the list of customs departments, which have sufficient technical equipment for the use of Internet-based customs declaring.
As of now, four of five customs offices have been connected to the network to develop customs services via Internet.
The use of customs service website for declaration on remote customs check points, including the remote post Plastun Sea port of Nakhodka Customs department, will help considerably to shorten time spent for procedures of customs clearance of goods. Consequently, more opportunities for the participants of foreign economic activity, including those working in the far-off areas.
