"We are ready to consider concrete proposals of the Chinese side for the construction and operation of high-speed rail lines", Mr. Levitin was quoted as saying. He specified that Khabarovsk - Vladivostok, Moscow - Sochi, Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod lines could be the promising polygons for organization of high-speed trains in Russia.
"Chinese investment and technology can be used as well while building Russian freeways and, in particular in creation of international transport corridor Western China - Western Europe, Mr. Levitin added.
To remind, on October 12, 2009 in Beijing a memorandum of understanding for organization and development of high-speed rail lines on the territory of Russia was signed by the Ministry of Transport, Russian Railways and the Ministry of Railways of China as a part of the thirteenth meeting of the Commission for the preparation of regular meetings between heads of governments of Russia and China.
