Before making a document for consideration by the city government the strategy for transportation and logistics complex of St. Petersburg will be discussed at the meeting on December 16, 2009 at the Smolny, the Committee for transport and transit policy of the City Administration reports.
According to committee officials, representatives of the St. Petersburg Administration, members of the Transport Council of the Government of St. Petersburg and representatives of the transport and logistics operators (major airlines, freight, passenger transport, stevedores, cargo terminals, representatives of the truckers union and freight forwarders of the North-West) are taking part at the meeting.
The Committee for transport-transit policy had been instructed to update the strategy for development of transport and logistic complex of St. Petersburg and an action plan for its implementation, approved by the government of St. Petersburg back in 2007 in resolution № 741, based on the current forecast for the industry.
