Experts confirm Russian legislation benefits and advantages are good for Russian cargo carriers

Benefits and advantages provided by the Russian international register of ships (RMRS) has appeared to be favorable for Russian cargo carriers. For example, shipsowners registered in the International Register may claim a refund of the amounts of unified social tax, which had been paid for the past three years. At that, if the vessel is registered in the RMRS, the transport tax and property tax is not paid. Such conclusion has been made up at the 6 th annual maritime seminar "Russian international register of ships: the results of 2006-2009", held in Rostov-on-Don on December 11.
