The Russian government is going to support Sevmash PA of Severodvinsk, the shipbuilder’s press service reports, citing PM Vladimir Putin who spoke at a meeting on the development of Russian shipbuilding industry in St. Petersburg. Nikolay Kalistratov, General Director of Sevmash who attended the meeting said, the financial aid was intended for oil and gas projects and program for reconstruction of the enterprise.
As a reminder, PA Sevmash JSC and DORIS Engineering (France) have announced earlier their plans to establish a joint venture for accomplishment of shipbuilding projects for oil and gas industry.
Shipyard "Sevmash" created 1936. Since June 1st 2008 the shipyard has been transformed into JSC Sevmash. The company largely produces military equipment for Russian Navy and several foreign customers. Besides, it focused on manufacturing marine equipment for oil and gas industry, civil shipbuilding, equipment for engineering, metallurgy, oil and other industries.
