Nevsky Shipyard to build two multi-task rescue vessels for Rosmorrechflot

LLC Nevsky Shipbuilding shipyard (Leningrad region) and the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) have signed a state contract for the construction of two multi-task rescue vessels of 4 MW capacity, the shipbuilder press service reports.
The company bid for the contract and won early December. The results of the tender approved at the government commission on December 5th, the press service said.
According to the terms of contract the multi-task rescue ships are intended for for the ports of Murmansk and St. Petersburg.
Nevsky Shipbuilding Shipyard LLC is a subsidiary of OJSC North-Western Shipping Company, located in Schluesselburg 40 kilometers from St. Petersburg on the left bank of the Neva River and is one of the oldest shipping companies of the Russian North-West. The company has been building ships since 1952. NSS construct sea and river vessels of various types and task, and repair all types of ship. Ship raising slip allows lowering the water and lifting vessels for repair up to 140 meters and dock weight up to 2500 tons.
