Dry cargo ship "Aras-1" wrecked recently to be scrapped soon

Foreign dry bulk cargo ship "Aras-1", which crashed December 20 night near Sochi port will be scrapped within a month, said  Anatoly Pakhomov mayor of Sochi at his press conference with journalists, Yuga.Ru agency reports.
“The vessel will be recycled during a month, Mr. Pakhomov is quoted as saying, and fuel, which might cause ecology pollution had been pumped out of the ship’s reservoirs, the vessel is not any threat to environment ".
The owner of "Aras-1" passed his responsibility for the disposal of dry cargo to Yugoria" insurance company ".
All obligations for recycling the insurance company has confirmed recently. In the coming days it will be decided how to recycle the ship", the mayor said.
According to earlier reports the wreckage of the vessel occurred 5 miles off the coast of Sochi due to rought weather. The ship was broken into two parts by heavy seas. The stern of the wrecked ship contained diesel fuel - 37 tons, oil - 2 tons. 13 of the crew members were rescued.
On December 23, specialists FSUE "Novorossiysk Management of rescue and engineering underwater operations” finished pumping, at about 200 m3, oily substance out fuel tanks of "Aras-1 ".
