Seaborne oil tanker "Moscow University", with a capacity of 100 thousand tons has called today at the specialized oil seaport of Kozmino (Primorye). The customs officers of the check point of Nakhodka Customs East port began clearance procedure of the vessel, said the press service of the Far Eastern Customs Administration of the FCS of Russia.
According to the authorities of Spetsmornefteport "Kozmino" LLC , the ceremony of commissioning the pipeline system Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) and the specialized oil port for loading of the oil tanker for export shipment from the customs territory of Russia, is to be held December 28 2009. OJSC Oil Company Rosneft is said to be the sender of this cargo.
In 2009, the Nakhodka Customs prepared for the implementation of customs clearance and customs control in Kozmino bay. The customs had worked out a procedure for customs clearance and control of petroleum products exported from the customs territory of Russia in Kozmino bay.
For the implementation of customs control of oil exported through the oil port Kozmino a permanent zone of customs control has been established at the territory of Ltd. "Spetsmornefteport Kozmino", to carry out measuring the quantity and quality of oil and oil pruducts.
Special sea oil port Kozmino, built at the end point of the pipeline "Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean", is designed for receiving oil by rail to the railway station "Gruzovay” (Cacargo) to be sent to the oil depot near the village of Kozmino and further oil storage and loading on tankers to be shipped to consumers.
Throughput of the first stage of the port complex is reportedly 15 million tons of oil a year, expandable to 30 million tons a year; tank farm - 7 vertical steel tank with a floating roof of the unit capacity at 50.000 m3 and two vertical steel tanks, 10.000 m3; pour DWT tankers - from 80 to 150 thousand tons.
