The last of eight contracted high-speed trains "Sapsan” (Peregrine Falcon) was shipped by "Vilnius" ferry from Germany to Baltiisk (Kaliningrad region). After passing through customs clearance procedures "Peregrine Falcon" train will be loaded on "Baltic" rail ferry to be transported to the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region). Loading is scheduled for December 30, said press service of the Kaliningrad railways.
The contract for the supply of high-speed trains between Russian Railways and Siemens company was signed back in 2006, the KR press service reminded. Transportation of the first serial train "Sapsan" on the route Sassnitz - Baltiisk - Ust-Luga was carried out in November 2008.
