Sakhalin Shipping Company extraordinary meeting of shareholders to be held February 26, 2010
The Board of Directors of Sakhalin Shipping Company "(JSC "SakhSP», SASCO, Kholmsk Sakhalin region) at December 25th meeting decided to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on February 26, 2010 to approve the company's auditor, the shipping company authorities said.
Sakhalin Shipping Company is the only company that provides year-round transportation from ports de Castries, Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan. The company’s fleet includes 21 Russian-flagged transport vessels (save icebreakers, tugs and other support ships). The ships are all of ice-class. The company serves ferry link between Sakhalin (the port of Kholmsk) and the mainland (the port of Vanino). The government is the major shareholder of the "Sakhalin Shipping Company with 25,5% of shares. The remaining shareholders – 4.000 are business firms and private shareholders.
